With category B, you are allowed to drive standard cars and small vans with a maximum total weight of 3,500 kg.
You may also tow trailers up to 750 kg. Trailers over 750 kg are permitted if the total weight of the vehicle and trailer combination does not exceed 3,500 kg.

With BF17, you can start your driving licence at the age of 17 and drive only when accompanied by a registered adult until your 18th birthday. It’s a great way to gain early driving experience in a safe and controlled environment.
Accompanying persons must be at least 30 years old, have held a Category B licence for at least 5 years, and must not have more than one point in the driving register at the time of application.

With Category B197, you complete your training mainly in an automatic car, but you are still allowed to drive manual vehicles afterwards.
After completing a short manual driving course (at least 10 driving lessons plus a test drive), you receive a full Category B licence with no restrictions.

With Category BE, you are allowed to tow large trailers with a maximum weight of up to 3,500 kg. This allows a total combination weight of up to 7,000 kg (vehicle + trailer). It is ideal for tradespeople, campers or horse riders who need to tow heavier loads.

The B96 extension is ideal if you want to tow larger trailers, such as caravans or horse trailers. The total permissible weight of the vehicle and trailer combination can be up to 4,250 kg.
